Future Fisherman Foundation, The Stables School and Central Kentucky Riding for Hope team up for training!

Logo produc sponsorPONCA CITY OK, (April 30, 2013) — The Future Fisherman Foundation (F3) and The Stables School will team up for an exciting Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs training seminar on Thursday, May 2, at Central Kentucky Riding for Hope at the legendary Kentucky Horse Park where the school is located.

Both students and faculty members will participate in this event, with the beautiful setting of the Kentucky Horse Park and its many lakes and ponds in the background. The facility eventually will be able to offer students’ immediate access to multiple fishing opportunities as the school eventually plans to grow its fishing program into a student club.

“We are very excited to bring this new curriculum and everything the Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs program has to offer,” said Stables School Academic Dean Brian McIntyre. “We have a terrific setting here, and we want to take advantage of giving our students a very well-rounded educational experience.”

“Opportunities like this don’t come along very often,” added F3 Director Mark Gintert. “The Stables School is an incredible place to give students a terrific outdoor educational experience, and they literally can be out of the classroom and fishing in less than five minutes. I want to compliment Dean McIntyre and his staff for having the foresight to take advantage of the natural settings they have and giving their students this experience.

“The training is being funded by private donations that have come into the Foundation, as well as the profits generated through several fundraising programs we put in place during the past year,” continued Gintert. “Every little bit helps, and we are always looking for assistance to be able to create opportunities like this.”
