nwt-logoPonca City, Okla. – August, 28 2013 The Future Fisherman Foundation and the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour are teaming up to offer young anglers an opportunity to learn more about the sport of fishing.  The partnership will offer a “Youth Fishing Experience” at the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour Championship in Devils Lake, N.D., on Saturday, September 21.  The experience will highlight the fishing industry and the growing movement of high school fishing clubs across the US.

The youth seminar will start at 1:45pm.  It will teach young anglers basic fishing skills and discuss the positive aspects and life skills that accompany the sport of fishing.

At 2:15pm, the program will shift to introduce the wildly popular movement of high school fishing, and how schools can get involved in one of the fastest growing high school sports in the country.

At 3pm, young anglers and their parents can enjoy the pageantry of the NWT Walleye Championship as the top professional anglers from across the country set their sights on the NWT Crown!

Registration is simple; email mark@futurefisherman.org and let us know how many people are planning to attend. Both parents and students are welcome.
