We know tournament organizations and fishing clubs like yours share our goal to get young people into the outdoors. Your members know fishing is a healthy activity that promotes a deeper appreciation for nature and aquatic resources. That’s why we’re asking your organization to join our Tournaments for Tomorrow initiative. Together, as partners, the Future Fisherman Foundation and tournament organizations nationwide can ensure the future of fishing.
Through the Tournaments for Tomorrow program, you can help your members support the Future Fisherman Foundation. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement — a win-win deal for you, the Foundation, the fishing community and future generations.
Funds are raised by asking your tournament participants to contribute an extra $5 to $10 per entry fee, or an amount you specify, to support F3 programs. Alternatively, you can “pass the hat” (or maybe pass a bait bucket!) at your opening events and ask for contributions. Using these methods, Tournament for Tomorrow partners such as Crappie Masters All-American Tournament Trail have raised thousands of dollars that help fund F3’s vital kids fishing programs.
Upon enrollment in the program, you’ll be licensed to use the Future Fisherman Foundation Partners logo in your publications and on your website to show your organization supports our efforts to ensure the future of fishing. Along with a camera-ready logo, we can send you a special F3 DVD you can use to show tournament participants and club members how their dollars will help. For your convenience, you’ll also receive a self-addressed stamped envelope that will expedite the receipt of your check by the F3 office so we can promptly tell others about your organization’s contribution toward the future of fishing.
We regularly email a newsletter to more than 3,000 partners and educators who use our programs, and to leaders of national organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and Boys and Girls Clubs. Immediately following your event, we’ll include a write-up to tell all our friends about your organization’s support. We also provide special recognition for program participants in the “Partners” section of our website, linking the name of your group back to your website so visitors can learn more about your programs.
Last but not least, we’ll gladly help you publicize youth events held in conjunction with your tournaments. We’ll get the word out through the Foundation’s blog, on our Facebook page and via our Email Blasts, telling school teachers and youth organizations what they need to know so their young anglers can attend. You’ll also have access to low-cost or no-cost youth-oriented program materials such as our “First Fish” certificates and F3’s “Fishing Fun for Kids” booklets.
